This policy explains what information Home Exterior Check ("we", "us") collects when you use homeexteriorcheck.com and its Roof Check, and how that information is used.

What we collect

• Roof Check answers. The answers you choose about your roof (for example its age and condition). The Roof Check does not ask for your name or phone number.
• Email address, only if you give it. If you ask us to send you a copy of your results or a checklist, we collect the email you enter, and use it to send what you asked for and occasional related tips. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Usage and device data. Pages visited, the ad or link that brought you here, browser and device type, approximate location from your IP address, and similar data collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
• Call data. If you call a number shown on this site, our call-tracking and advertising partners receive information about the call, such as your phone number, the time and length of the call, and your approximate location. Calls may be recorded by the provider or the advertising network for quality and billing purposes.

How we use it

• To run the Roof Check and show your result.
• To show a phone number that connects you with an independent provider in your area, and to confirm calls for billing.
• To measure and improve our ads and pages, including through advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google.
• To answer your messages and meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host this site and the Roof Check, deliver its web fonts (Google Fonts), and send email on our behalf.
• Call-tracking and advertising partners that route calls to providers and confirm them for billing.
• Advertising platforms such as Meta and Google, which receive usage and conversion events through pixels and server-side tools so ads can be measured and shown to relevant people.
• The provider you choose to call. They receive your call and whatever you tell them.
• Authorities when required by law.

We do not sell your Roof Check answers or your email address for money. Some sharing with advertising platforms for ad measurement may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under certain state laws; see Your choices below.

Your choices

• You can use the Roof Check without giving an email address.
• You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and adjust ad preferences in your Meta and Google accounts.
• You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of sharing for targeted advertising, by emailing hello@homeexteriorcheck.com. Residents of states with privacy laws (such as California) have these rights by law; we honor these requests for everyone.
• You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time with the link in each email.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

This site is intended for adults and homeowners. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
